Reading: The Way to Get to it All!
We have adapted a reading workshop approach this year that is aligned with the Illinois State Learning Framework. Our Readers’ Workshop is structured similar to our Writers’ Workshop (Caulkins) in that students meet at the carpet for a mini-lesson prior to breaking out into small groups. During Readers’ Workshop, students either work on centers, independent practice, or read with me at guided reading. The links below can be used to reinforce literacy skills. We have adapted a reading workshop approach this year that is aligned with the Illinois State Learning Framework.
