Mapping the Civil War
The USA was not always made up of 50 states who felt united as one country. During Civil War times, the North and the South felt differently about major issues like economic rights and slavery. There was such disagreement, that the South wanted to secede from the union. Looking at the map above, create a map that labels the Union States (North) red and the Confederate States (South) blue. Use Google Earth to mark the following battle sites and locations of major towns of influence.
